La Confederación Europea de Sindicatos (ETUC) ha creado un premio para honrar el sobresaliente y dinámico trabajo científico, de gran valor para el movimiento sindical europeo, de catedrático Brian Bercusson, premio a cuyo través el ETUC y el Instituto Sindical Europeo ETUI pretenden apoyar la investigación académica en torno a los derechos transnacionales de los trabajadores. Para la presentación de candidaturas al premio se debe haber presentado con éxito una tesis doctoral entre el 2 de octubre de 2014 y el 1 de octubre de 2018. The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) has instituted an award to honour the outstanding and dynamic scientific work, of great value to the European trade union movement, of the late labour law Professor Brian Bercusson: the ETUC Brian Bercusson Award. Through this Award, the ETUC and the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) support academic research that deepens understanding and promotes transnational workers’ rights in Europe. The focus on European labour law aims to raise awareness about new scientific research in academia as well as among practitioners in the European Union in order to encourage scientific, legal and political actions for the further development, full recognition and better implementation of trade union and workers’ rights. To be eligible, individual PhD researchers must have successfully defended a PhD research project in the period between 2 October 2014 and 1 October 2018.
